Agreement Reached for the Export of Peruvian Blueberries to the Bolivian Market
Feb 25, 2025Rubber Prices Today, February 25, 2025: Sharp Decline on Tokyo Exchange
Global rubber prices on the Tocom and SHFE exchanges moved in opposite directions on February 25, 2025. Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) prices for March and May 2025 delivery decreased, while Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) prices for the same delivery months saw increases. This volatility is attributed to weak demand from China post-Lunar New Year and ongoing US-China trade tensions. Increased natural rubber inventories in China and low operating capacity of tire manufacturers further contribute to market uncertainty. However, heavy rains in southern Thailand, impacting rubber harvesting, provide some support to prices. Domestically, latex prices remained stable, trading around 429 - 440 VND/TSC.
