Feb 25, 2025Pepper Price Today, February 24, 2025: Holds Firm at 162,000 VND/kg
Global pepper prices remained unchanged on February 24, 2025. Vietnamese black pepper export prices saw a decrease, with 500 g/l at 6,500 USD/ton and 550 g/l at 6,650 USD/ton. White pepper export prices are at 9,550 USD/ton. Domestically, prices held steady at 160,000 - 162,000 VND/kg in key regions like Dak Lak and Dak Nong. This stability follows a week of strong growth in the domestic market and a year of record-high export prices in 2024, driven by increased value despite lower export volumes. The Vietnam Pepper Association (VPSA) forecasts a continued decline in global pepper production for 2025 due to farmers shifting to more profitable agricultural products and climate change impacts.
