Agreement Reached for the Export of Peruvian Blueberries to the Bolivian Market
Feb 25, 2025Agrovision Sells Out First Harvest of Locally Grown Blueberries in China
Agrovision, a global leader in superfruits, celebrated a successful first harvest of blueberries from its Yunnan province plantations in China. Sold under the Meiyili (美益粒) brand, the locally grown fresh fruit sold out within 24 hours, demonstrating the increasing demand for fresh produce in the Chinese market. This achievement marks a significant step in Agrovision's global export strategy. The rapid growth of China's blueberry market, driven by health-conscious consumers seeking premium snacks, prompted Agrovision to begin importing berries from Peru in 2018. To further meet this demand, the company established a local farm in Yunnan in early 2024. The region's favorable climate allows Agrovision to cultivate high-quality blueberries and efficiently supply consumers across China. According to Stone Wang, CEO of Agrovision China, the overwhelming success of the first harvest confirms the Chinese market's appreciation for premium berries. Agrovision is now considering expanding its Yunnan operations, investing in advanced agricultural technologies and sustainable practices. The company also optimized its import supply chain, reducing transit time from Peru, to ensure consistent availability of both local and imported blueberries for Chinese consumers. Steve Magami, Co-Founder and CEO of Agrovision, emphasized the company's commitment to providing high-quality superfruits globally. Agrovision's presence in China has also generated hundreds of jobs and fostered local agricultural expertise through training programs, contributing to the region's economic growth.
